Mrs. Blue : You shouldn’t be here. You’re not family.
Forrest: Stupid is as stupid does, Mrs. Blue. I’兆或m keeping a promise.
Scene 2: Meeting Mrs. Blue in the Gulf
Narrator : Later, Forrest travels to the Gulf to meet Bubba’s family.
Mrs. Blue : What do you want here?
Forrest: I want to help with Bubba’s shrimp business. It’s what he would’ve wanted.
Mrs. Blue : Stupid is as stupid does, huh?
Forrest: Exactly.
Scene 3: Encounter with the Old Fisherman
Narrator : On the dock, Forrest meets an old fisherman who offers advice.

Old Fisherman: Maybe you should name your boat. Bring some luck.

Scene 4: Naming the Boat
Narrator : At sunset, Forrest paints a name on the side of his old, rusty shrimp boat.
Forrest: Jenny… she’s the most beautiful name I know.
Cleaning Shrimp Worker : That’s a nice name for a boat. What’s the story behind it?
Forrest: It’s a promise I made to my best friend.
Scene 5: Reflecting on Promises
Narrator : As night falls, Forrest sits alone on the dock, looking at his boat named Jenny.
Forrest : Bubba, I kept my promise. I hope you’re proud of me. Stupid is as stupid does, but sometimes, keeping a promise is the smartest thing a person can do.
Lights fade out, symbolizing the end of the play and Forrest’s continued commitment to his friend’s memory.
